About

The mighty Piranhas will compete in Division of the Northern Virginia Swim League and the Western Fairfax Developmental League this season. Our team is open to all children members of the Pleasant Valley Pool ages 4 - 18. Our season runs from Memorial Day to the end of July. Our practices take place at our pool and the meets take place at ours and other local neighborhood pools.

The goals of our team are:

• To develop confidence in the water through proper swimming techniques
• To develop team spirit by teaching discipline, responsibility and commitment
• To help swimmers to learn to win and lose gracefully
• To have some fun

During the season there will be five developmental meets (“B” meets), five team competition meets (“A” meets), a relay team meet, and a final all-divisional meet. We also have a number of fun social activities. In past years these have included:

• pasta dinner at the pool
• pancake breakfast
• tie-dye t-shirts
• spirit parade
• an afternoon at the movies
• family pool parties ice cream social
• NVSL Day at King's Dominion or Splashdown
• bowling
• fundraising dinners
• and much more!

So, you see, swim team is not just about swimming. It’s also about fun. Join us and join in on the fun!
